Mim and Honey bio picture

Hello there, my name is Annie Beedy.

I am a freelance natural light photographer specializing in lifestyle portraiture and editorial photography.  My work is photojournalistic in style, although I've been known to stage elaborate situations in which to insert my friends from time to time.

This blog is a stream of consciousness of sorts, a bit of storytelling, friends, family and some of the interesting folks I meet out in the world will be highlighted here, all strung together in whatever mad logic makes sense to me. If you see something that compels you don't hesitate to comment or send me an email. I love to hear from you!

Hope you enjoy.

Goodbye Olivia

My Olivia Angel

My little soul mate Olivia passed away on Saturday morning. She was by my side for 18 years and by Eric’s side for six. She was truly a wise and loving soul who’s energy in our lives will never be replaced.  Olivia, our little Booba, we will always miss you.

February 25, 2010 - 11:28 am mari - I have not commented on your lovely blog before, though I've followed you for some time. But I had to write this morning and offer my honest condolences. I lost my sweet girl, Sofia, in October after a year-long battle with cancer and it broke my heart. She, too, was my furry soul mate for six beautiful years and I'm grateful and glad I had her for that long, brief though it seemed. I'm glad you were able to share your life with Olivia for as long as you did; an animal's cherished presence is truly a gift. Please be gentle with yourself these next days, weeks; however long it takes you to find peace. All my best, M.

February 25, 2010 - 12:00 pm admin - Thank you so very much for the kind reply, it really brought me comfort. It means so much to know that people understand that bond..what a true and special sort of love it is. Olivia also had cancer..although she was also very old. I am sorry to hear of your loss as well and my heart goes out to you. I pick up Olivia's ashes today and we will be burying her in our garden so that life will always spring from her. Thanks too, for following my blog. Best, Annie

February 27, 2010 - 10:02 am J Langer - I have worked in the veterinary field for several years, and through the euthanasia and crematory services provided there, I have known many hospice patients. As difficult as it is for those left behind, and especially with a geriatric patient like your sweet kitty, it is very often a blessing when the animal passes away leaving the pain and care of this world behind. She was very lucky to have had longevity of life and such a loving family.I hope that in passing, she too has been restored to peace.

March 30, 2010 - 6:47 am Jenn - beautiful.
